Job Description

Role Purpose

The Senior Director / Assistant Vice President, Casino Cashiering will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Casino Cashiering function, ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence, financial integrity, regulatory compliance, risk management and customer service. The role will lead a substantial operational team and will be responsible for strengthening controls, driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement, and ensuring the function remains responsive to the evolving needs of the casino business. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Casino Operations, Compliance, Security, Audit and other functions, the role will play a critical part in maintaining a secure, well controlled and high performing cashiering operation within the organisation's highly regulated gaming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Casino Cashiering function, ensuring consistently high standards of efficiency, security, service excellence and regulatory compliance.
  • Strengthen and continuously enhance the framework of internal controls, security protocols and risk management practices to safeguard assets and mitigate exposure to fraud, financial malpractice and operational risk.
  • Ensure full adherence to applicable gaming regulations, regulatory requirements and corporate policies, maintaining the highest standards of governance and operational integrity.
  • Identify and lead opportunities for process optimisation and operational transformation, driving greater efficiency, effectiveness and service standards across the function.
  • Build strong partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, including Operations, Finance, Compliance, Security, Audit and relevant regulatory authorities, to ensure effective governance and seamless business operations.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Preferred Experience

  • Proven track record of leading and implementing process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Experience in evaluating, introducing, or leveraging new technologies and digital solutions to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness
  • Hands-on experience in a casino opening, expansion, or the establishment of a new Cage/Cashiering operation
  • Prior experience working in casino operations within Malaysia, Macau, or Australia is highly preferred, with familiarity in the respective regulatory environments, operational practices, and cultural considerations

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • Extensive leadership experience within casino operations, casino cashiering or a closely related environment, with a demonstrated ability to lead complex, high-volume operations.
  • Strong expertise in cash management, internal controls, risk management and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated operating environment.
  • Experience within an integrated resort, gaming, casino or hospitality environment.
  • Sound understanding of gaming regulations and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, engage and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross- functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to exercise sound judgement in complex and high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly operational environment.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in line with operational requirements.
