Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities

As Construction Supervisor / Site Supervisor, you will lead the onsite execution of renovation works and ensure that projects are completed safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for renovation projects, including inhouse workers and subcontractors.

• Plan and allocate manpower, organise work sequences and monitor workers attendance to meet project timelines.

• Ensure all works comply with safety regulations, company safety procedures and statutory requirements conduct toolbox meetings and enforce use of PPE.

• Ensure all contractors are safetyinducted and issued the necessary permits before work starts, and that safe work procedures are followed on site.

• Monitor work progress and quality, carry out regular site inspections and rectify defects or nonconformances promptly.

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and method statements, and brief site teams so works are executed according to approved plans.

• Coordinate with project manager, designers and subcontractors on technical issues, sequence of works and site constraints.

• Liaise with clients and building management (e.g. arranging access, permits, renovation guidelines) and provide timely updates on site progress.

• Manage materials on site, including checking deliveries, ensuring proper storage and raising material requisitions in advance to avoid delays.

• Maintain proper site records such as daily site reports, photos, inspection records and safety documentation.

• Lead the resolution of site issues, coordinate variation works and support the project team to achieve ontime and onbudget completion.

• Mentor junior supervisors and guide site staff in work methods, quality and safety.

Requirements

• At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in construction / renovation site supervision, including experience leading multiple projects or managing complex interior fitout works.

• Proven track record in supervising site teams, coordinating multiple subcontractors and delivering projects within time, cost and quality targets.

• Strong knowledge of construction and renovation methods, architectural finishes and workmanship standards, and ability to resolve technical and site issues independently.

• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and method statements, and to brief site teams clearly.

• Able to communicate effectively in English and Chinese in order to coordinate with clients, consultants, workers and subcontractors who primarily use these languages for workrelated discussions. • Familiar with workplace safety and health regulations able to lead by example in enforcing safe work procedures, housekeeping and risk controls on site.

• Preferably holds relevant safety and supervision certifications (e.g. BCSS and related WSH courses).

• Possesses good leadership, problemsolving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor junior supervisors and guide site staff.

• Willing to work onsite and, when required, extended hours or weekends to meet project milestones.

• Class 3 driving licence will be an advantage for travelling between sites.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Candidates are required to walk and stand for extended periods during site inspections and supervision.

• Candidates may be required to handle light to moderate manual tasks, such as moving tools and materials, in line with workplace safety guidelines.
