Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Terraform, Cloud Run, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Automation, and Production Operations.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical cloud platforms running on GCP. The role demands hands-on experience in GKE, Cloud Run, Terraform/Terraform Cloud, CI/CD, Container Platforms, Observability, Incident Management, and Cloud Automation.

This position requires close collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Application teams to drive operational excellence and platform resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Engineering

• Design, implement, and manage highly available cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deploy, operate, and optimize workloads running on:
• Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
• Cloud Run
• Compute Engine
• Cloud Storage
• Cloud Load Balancers
• Cloud DNS
• VPC Networking
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and availability across environments.

Kubernetes & Container Platform

• Design and manage enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms using GKE.
• Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot containerized applications.
• Implement container lifecycle management and cluster governance.
• Optimize Kubernetes networking, ingress, autoscaling, workloads, and storage.
• Drive platform standardization and Kubernetes best practices.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure using:
• Terraform
• Terraform Cloud
• Develop reusable Terraform modules.
• Automate provisioning of cloud environments.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code governance and compliance controls.

Automation & SRE Practices

• Build automation solutions using:
• Python
• Shell Scripting
• Cloud-native tooling
• Eliminate repetitive operational tasks through automation.
• Develop self-healing mechanisms for cloud infrastructure.
• Improve platform reliability through SRE principles and engineering practices.

CI/CD & DevOps

• Build and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
• Preferred experience with:

• Implement automated deployment strategies and release processes.
• Support blue-green and canary deployment methodologies.

Monitoring & Observability

• Design and manage monitoring and alerting frameworks.
• Configure dashboards, metrics, logging, and observability solutions.
• Establish SLA, SLI, and SLO measures.
• Perform root-cause analysis and service health monitoring.
• Continuously optimize platform reliability and performance.

Incident & Problem Management

• Participate in major incident management activities.
• Own incident troubleshooting and platform recovery.
• Conduct RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and post-mortem reviews.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support Problem Management processes aligned with ITIL practices.

Security & Container Governance

• Implement container security controls and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage container quality and security using tools such as:
• SonarQube
• Aqua Security
• Container Image Scanning Solutions
• Ensure infrastructure security best practices.
• Collaborate with Security teams for compliance and governance.

Networking & Cloud Connectivity

• Manage and troubleshoot:
• DNS
• VPC
• Subnets
• Routing
• Firewall Rules
• Load Balancers
• Connectivity Issues
• Support hybrid and cloud-native networking solutions.

Documentation & Operational Readiness

• Create and maintain:
• Runbooks
