About the Role
This role partners with a global team to support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) operations worldwide. Hands-on experience with AWS or Tencent Cloud is essential. As Gate's on-the-ground representative, you will also liaise with local regulators, making strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin essential.
Job Description
- Handle daily server maintenance, including deployment, operations, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain existing business systems, resolving common issues during use.
- Set up development, testing, and production environments; deploy applications, monitor performance, optimize, and troubleshoot.
- Drive team infrastructure improvements to boost platform quality and user experience.
- Serve as Gate's representative to liaise with local regulators and external parties.
- Provide 7x24 on-call support for incident response
Requirements
- 3+ years in operations/devops; computer/network-related degree, bachelor's or higher.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Tencent Cloud is required;
- Proficient in Linux commands and at least one scripting language (Shell/Python); strong problem-solving skills.
- Expert in cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts) with hands-on K8s experience.
- Experienced with GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD; Prometheus, Grafana, Loki for monitoring/alerting/logs.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English is required. Strong Mandarin communication skills are essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with internal stakeholders in Mandarin. Excellent English communication is equally important for regulatory engagement.
