Site Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day operations on roadworks sites, ensuring smooth project delivery.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, plant operators, and site workers.
• Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with project plans, specifications, and timelines.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all times.
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, engineers, and utility companies as needed.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and material deliveries.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and quality documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and review of construction program and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with local highway regulations and permit conditions.
• Track and report on variations, delays, and other contractual issues.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to maintain quality control.
• Support handover and as-built documentation for final project closeout.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor on roadworks or highways projects.
• Strong technical understanding of road construction processes (e.g., excavation, drainage, surfacing, kerbing).
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management/documentation tools (e.g., Excel, Word, MS Project).
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and current HSE practices.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
