Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead all on-site activities of medium to large projects. Each day, you will ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements. You will also showcase your expertise by leading the site team, defining main guidelines, and allocating tasks.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

This role is contributing to the Energy Industries - Offshore Solutions Team of ABB and the position can be based in Singapore, Johor Bahru, Malaysia or Batam, Indonesia. The role is fixed term contract for 2-years but may be renewed or have the possibility to become permanent.

  • Coordinating all on-site activities to ensure the successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.

  • Ensuring all site activities are executed as per schedule, reviewing periodic reports, and ensuring timely handover of work areas from customer.

  • Serving as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as other local organizations such as authorities and suppliers to ensuring their active support of field activities.

  • Closing all punch list, handover of installed equipment, as-built documentation, material reconciliation, site de-mobilization, etc., and receiving the final certification from customer.


Qualifications for the role

  • Proven experience managing medium to large or complex modular construction or e-house projects.

  • Strong background in shipyard site operations.

  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent schedule management and project planning abilities.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering or another relevant course.
