Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Engineer (Civil) with a strong background in road construction, ground foundation works, and traffic diversion schemes. The ideal candidate should possess at least 3 years of relevant local experience and hold a recognized Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and supervise road construction, ground foundation works, and traffic diversion activities on-site.
- Ensure that construction activities are executed in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve site issues efficiently.
- Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and maintain accurate site documentation.
- Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to quality control procedures and compliance with design specifications.
- Enforce workplace safety and environmental compliance on site.
- Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board or equivalent qualification accepted by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as a Resident Engineer.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of local experience in:
- Road construction projects
- Ground/foundation works
- Traffic diversion planning and execution
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality assurance standards.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
