Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee on-site operations, manage subcontractors, and ensure technical specifications are met on time and within budget in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site, ensuring all work aligns with structural drawings and project specifications
- Conduct regular inspections to verify materials and workmanship meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Coordinate manpower by managing subcontractors, site supervisors, and laborers to maintain efficient workflow and productivity
- Prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports to track project schedule adherence and identify potential delays
- Enforce strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) standards to maintain a zero-incident work environment
- Adapt to project demands by working flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Ability to work 100% on-site in outdoor construction environments
- Resilience to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
- Flexibility to work long hours as project phases demand
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong understanding of civil engineering blueprints and technical drawings
- Proven problem-solving skills to address site challenges effectively
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse site stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Other Information
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Monthly salary: $3,400 - $4,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Standard working hours: Monday to Saturday
- Overtime and flexibility required for Sundays and Public Holidays based on project needs
