Site Engineer is responsible for the mobile network outdoor/indoor base station site engineering and/or deployment activities which includes planning, testing and measurement, implementation, supervision, installation & commissioning. Site engineer is in charge of the day to day site implementation activities and also assist in the troubleshooting of mobile network infrastructure if necessary.
- Understanding of technical proposal and schematic drawings for outdoor/indoor mobile coverage solution.
- Understanding of LV electrical system design and installation requirements.
- Coordination of all site activities with clients, site owners/main contractors, vendors and subcontractors.
- Managing the site materials request, delivery and return internally and towards the client.
- Coordinating with Site Supervisor on the manpower resources at site and their daily activities.
- Ensuring the deployment is according to the proposal and coverage objectives.
- Ensuring the quality of the installation and the site progress accordingly.
- Ensuring all manpower compliance to site safety requirements.
- Compilation of As-Built photographs and documentation.
- Verification and checking of As-Built bill of materials on site.
- Reporting the overall site activities and progress to Project Manager.
- Escalate any safety issues, project delays or additional costing requirements to Project Manager.
Qualification and requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication engineering or equivalent engineering field
- Knowledge and experience with mobile network technology
- Knowledge of electrical system and hands on requirements
- Experience of working in a construction site environment
- Able to perform Saturday/Sunday or night duties if required
