Site Engineer/Resident Engineer

Job Description

• Coordinate technical matters among the client, design consultants, and contractors.
• Supervise subcontractors works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Ensure construction quality complies with Land Transport Authority (LTA) and relevant standards.
• Oversee critical construction activities (e.g., piling works, reinforcement works, concrete casting, TBM operations, etc.).
• Issue instructions on technical matters.
• Monitor construction progress to ensure alignment with the master programme.
• Review and certify work done and progress payment claims.
• Record site delays and variation works.
• Ensure site tests (e.g., concrete cube tests, load tests) comply with specifications and standards.
• Review Resident Technical Officer (RTO) reports.

Requirements

• Possess a recognised engineering degree (typically in Civil or Structural Engineering).
• Have relevant site experience (typically 5-10 years or more).
• Registered as a Resident Engineer (RE) with the Building and Construction Authority.
• For certain projects, required to work under a Professional Engineer (PE) registered with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore, or be a registered PE.
