ob Description
We are a specialized subcontractor involved in architectural, faade, metal works, and interior finishing works. We are seeking a hands-on Site Engineer / Project Engineer to manage and coordinate site activities across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
- Coordinate with Main Contractor, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on site execution and technical matters
- Review and interpret shop drawings, and ensure proper implementation on site
- Identify and resolve site issues such as dimensional discrepancies, interface clashes, and finishing details
- Prepare and follow up on project documentation including:Request for Information (RFI)Material SubmissionsInspection Requests (IR)
- Monitor site progress and maintain tracking of work completion and material delivery
- Ensure works meet quality standards and comply with relevant authority requirements (e.g. BCA)
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and issues
- Supervise site workers and coordinate multiple trades to ensure smooth workflow
Job Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant site experience, preferably with subcontractors
- Experience in architectural works, faade, metal works, or interior finishes
- Strong understanding of shop drawings and construction sequencing
- Hands-on experience in site coordination and problem-solving
- Familiar with Singapore construction practices and site environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience in projects involving:Aluminium / faade systemsRailings, stainless steel, or metal worksInterior finishing works (floor, wall, ceiling, painting)
- Experience working with Main Contractors in Singapore
- Knowledge of authority submission and inspection processes
