A Site Engineer
manages daily construction activities, ensuring projects meet technical specs by supervising labor, coordinating subcontractors, overseeing materials, and liaising with stakeholders (architects, managers) to keep projects on schedule and budget, involving both site work (planning, inspections) and documentation (reports, logs)
. They provide technical advice, manage site logistics, ensure safety, and solve on-site problems, bridging design with physical execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site activities, ensuring alignment with design plans, specs, and regulations.
Team Management: Organize work crews, subcontractors, and labor manage daily tasks and schedules.
Material & Logistics: Oversee material delivery, quality testing, and inventory requisition tools and resources.
Technical Duties: Interpret blueprints, provide technical guidance, conduct site inspections, and perform quality assurance.
Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate site records, daily logs, progress reports, and cost analyses.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, architects, quantity surveyors, and clients.
Problem Solving: Adapt plans and solve unexpected technical issues or delays.
Core Skills & Requirements:
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction procedures, AutoCAD, project management software.
Leadership: Strong coordination and communication skills.
