SITE ENGINEER

Job Scope

• Assist the Project Manager in managing and executing project works to ensure cost effectiveness, timely delivery and compliance with quality standards to meet client expectations.

• Ensure site activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards, safety regulations and contractual requirements.

• Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications and quantities to ensure accuracy for project implementation.

• Carry out site planning, coordination and monitoring of construction activities to ensure works are carried out according to schedule.

• Coordinate with internal departments, sub-contractors, clients and consultants to ensure smooth site operations and project progress.

• Monitor site progress and prepare progress reports, documentation and updates for management review.

• Assist in the preparation of method statements, work schedules and project documentation.

• Liaise with relevant authorities for permits, licenses and necessary submissions required for project works.

• Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers on project implementation.

• Supervise site works carried out by sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and project schedule.

• Ensure quality control of works carried out by sub-contractors, fabricators and suppliers.

• Assist in checking and verifying sub-contractors progress claims and work completion status.

• Identify and report site issues, and assist in resolving design or construction problems encountered during project execution.

• Ensure proper documentation of project records including site reports, correspondences and as-built drawings.

• Follow up on defective works and ensure timely rectification by contractors, fabricators and suppliers.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering.

• Experience in Civil Engineering projects, preferably in Marine Construction such as Jetty, Wharf, Harbour, Dredging or related infrastructure works.

• Good coordination and communication skills with consultants, contractors and site teams.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
