Your Opportunity at Arcteryx:

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Guest Experience

  • Lead your team to achieve and exceed store sales targets aligned with business goals.
  • Champion the Arcteryx Guest Journey by delivering best-in-class, authentic experiences on the sales floor.
  • Utilize CRM tools to enhance customer retention and deliver personalized service.
  • Proactively address guest feedback and complaints to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Lead from the floor at least 80% of your time to model service excellence and coach in real time.
  • Handle unexpected/emergency situations or public relations crises.

2. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Inspire, retain, and develop a high-performing team through ongoing coaching, recognition, and structured performance reviews.
  • Oversee the full employee life cycle: hiring, onboarding, training, development, and offboarding.
  • Build leadership capability within the team to support succession planning and engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful culture rooted in the Arcteryx purpose, values, and commitment to inclusion.
  • Maintain high standards of grooming, professionalism, and team accountability.

3. Store Operations & Visual Excellence

  • Oversee all aspects of daily store operations including scheduling, opening/closing, stock control, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through proactive stock monitoring, replenishment, and stocktake processes.
  • Execute visual merchandising and in-store presentation in alignment with brand standards and seasonal guidelines.
  • Utilize company systems and tools to plan labor, manage store budgets, and optimize operational efficiency.

4. Community & Brand Representation

  • Embody and promote the Arcteryx brand ethos through storytelling, authenticity, and a passion for the outdoors.
  • Drive community engagement through partnerships, local events, and identifying brand ambassadors.
  • Represent the brand with professionalism both in-store and within the local market.
  • Lead internal team briefings and weekly leadership meetings to communicate brand updates, campaign rollouts, and store performance across People, Product, Community, Operations, and Finance pillars.

Requirements

  • Diploma qualification or above.
  • 35 years of retail leadership experience, preferably in premium or high-end retail environments.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while managing performance and delivering results.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, labor planning, and expense control.
  • Deep understanding of store operations including CRM, stock/inventory, merchandising, and daily SOPs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using sales and CRM tools.
  • Passion for outdoor activities, performance lifestyle, or technical apparel.
  • Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
