Singapore Community Lead (Voice Data)

Expected compensation: 19.65 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping our client find a Singapore Community Lead (Voice Data) to build a vibrant local community and recruit a diverse pool of Singaporean speakers for upcoming voice data projects.

In this role, you'll serve as the company's on-the-ground community lead in Singapore, sourcing, engaging, and onboarding local participants to help capture the authentic voice and linguistic diversity of Singapore. You'll combine digital outreach with in-person community engagement while guiding participants through the voice recording process and providing ongoing support.

If you know the difference between lah, leh, and lor and can effortlessly switch from professional English to Kopitiam banter, this could be the role for you.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Singapore's culture, communities, and linguistic nuances, particularly the different varieties of Singapore English and Singlish. You are outgoing, resourceful, tech-savvy, and comfortable connecting with people from a wide range of backgrounds both online and in person.

As a Singapore Community Lead (Voice Data), You'll

• Recruit participants who naturally speak Standard Singapore English (SSE), Colloquial Singapore English (Singlish), Chinese-influenced Singapore English, Malay-influenced Singapore English, and highly code-switched Singlish.
• Drive community outreach and participant recruitment through relevant local online communities, social platforms, university boards, and other high-engagement channels.
• Build awareness through in-person outreach, including local pop-ups, community events, and direct engagement with prospective participants.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for recruits, guiding participants step-by-step through the voice recording process and ensuring they feel comfortable using the required software.
• Provide participant support, answer questions, and troubleshoot minor technical issues throughout the recording experience.
• Partner with the core team to share community feedback, track recruitment performance, improve the participant funnel, and adjust outreach strategies based on local results.
  
  

Requirements

• Fluency in English, with strong proficiency in Singlish and the ability to recognize and understand common Singapore English variations and code-switching patterns
• Deep familiarity with Singapore's culture, communities, and linguistic nuances
• Strong knowledge of the online platforms and communities commonly used by Singaporeans, with the ability to create authentic and engaging recruitment outreach
• Outgoing and approachable communication style with the ability to engage comfortably with people across different ages and backgrounds
• Comfort learning new software and explaining technical processes clearly to participants with varying levels of technical proficiency
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and participant-focused approach
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive toward recruitment goals
• Ability to conduct both online and in-person community outreach throughout Singapore
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with community building, participant recruitment, field outreach, events, or similar community-facing work
• Experience recruiting participants for research, data collection, voice, AI, or related projects
• Experience supporting users or participants through technology-based processes
  
  

This is a 4-6 week independent contractor position staffed via HireArt. Contractors will set their own schedules based on project and community outreach needs, working approximately 15–25 hours per week.
