As a Shop Supervisor / Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the retail store. You will lead a team of retail staff, ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently while meeting sales targets. Your role includes monitoring team performance and providing reports on sales and staff performance to the Shop Manager / Country Manager. You will also maintain store displays and ensure all operational procedures are consistently followed to achieve business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service Excellence
- Lead by example to provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints or concerns promptly.
- Ensure the store maintains a customer-first class environment, setting high standards of engagement and service delivery.
- Encourage the team to go above and beyond to exceed customer expectations.
Sales & Performance Management
- Monitor and track sales performance to ensure store targets are met.
- Boost sales performance by motivating and guiding team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, staff productivity, and ways to improve sales to the Area Manager / Country Manager.
Team Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate the team to ensure efficient daily operations and high morale.
- Guide and support team members in achieving their personal and team goals.
- Assist in hiring, training, and onboarding new staff, ensuring they understand their roles, responsibilities, and company culture.
Performance Monitoring & Staff Development
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide coaching, feedback, and support to the team.
- Identify training opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Ensure consistent development of staff through ongoing training, feedback, and recognition of achievements.
Onboard and Train New Staff
- Provide training to new staff on section-specific duties, customer service expectations, and product knowledge.
- Assist in introducing new team members to the store culture and operational procedures, ensuring they are prepared for their roles.
- Ensure all staff understand their responsibilities, safety procedures, and sales expectations.
Inventory Management
- Ensure the store is well-stocked and inventory is managed effectively to meet customer demand
- Perform regular inventory checks, manage stock replenishment, and maintain accurate stock records
- Liaise with HQ and suppliers for timely stock orders and follow up on any stock-related issues
Store Operation & Safety
- Oversee all aspects of store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to security protocols.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure that store displays, visual merchandising, and promotional materials are in line with company standards.
