Job Description

Position Summary

Kamigumi Singapore is seeking an Export Operations Coordinator to support the Long-term project shipment, providing day-to-day operational and documentation support for export shipments coordinated between a Saudi carrier, our Japan and Indonesia offices, and the client. The role assists the current account owner and acts as backup during periods of leave or travel, without taking over ownership of the account or client relationship.

Key Responsiblities

. Liaise with the Saudi carrier on booking status, vessel changes, and shipment updates.

. Exchange shipment information and coordinate with Kamigumi's Japan and Indonesia offices.

. Follow up on the status of bookings and respond to requests from IVICT.

. Issue Bills of Lading(BL) in Singapore once bookings are confirmed, and send documentation to IVICT.

. Handle client requests to amend bookings (e.g. container quantity changes) or cancellations.

. Check and monitor export documentation prepared by the Indonesia team (house bill, shipping instructions) for accuracy before shipment confirmation, flagging discrepancies such as destination or carrier document mismatches.

. Support both PP and PE project shipments under the client account.

. Correspond with Japan-side counterparts (e.g. via Microsoft Teams/email) on routine shipment queries, escalating critical or non-standard issues to the account owner.

. Maintain regular, professional email communication with client and other stakeholders so response times and continuity are not disrupted.

. Learn the account operations hands-on, with structured, step-by-step guidance from the account owner.

Requirements

. Prior hands-on export operations experience is required - this role is not suitable for a fresh graduate with no export background.

. Solid understanding of export documentation and process experience with export shipments to the Middle East (Saudi Arabia) or similar cross-trade export experience is an advantage.

. Comfortable working across multiple counterparts (carrier, overseas offices, client) and managing shifting priorities and last-minute requests.

. Detail-oriented, able to catch document discrepancies before they reach the client.

. Able to work independently within guided limits, escalating critical issues promptly rather than acting alone.

. CargoWise experience is not required - the account currently runs on an in-house bill system - but is considered a plus.
