Job Summary
You will coordinate shipments by liaising with carriers, customers, and vendors, resolve operational issues, manage documentation and billing, and ensure timely delivery of cargo in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with carriers, customers, transporters, warehouses, overseas agents, and third-party vendors to coordinate shipments effectively
- Resolve operational problems during the shipment process to maintain smooth cargo flow
- Address customer complaints and issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to support ongoing business
- Monitor shipment status until delivery to confirm cargo arrives in good condition
- Coordinate all shipments accurately and promptly to meet schedules
- Prepare and issue billing invoices to meet deadlines and ensure timely payment
- Provide accurate quotations to customers for shipping services
- Process all shipping documentation to comply with regulatory and company standards
- Declare permits for Dangerous Goods (DG) and shipping permits as required
- Complete job files and invoicing to maintain accurate records
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned to support team and operational needs
Required competencies and certifications
- Basic knowledge of shipping operations
- Experience in freight forwarding or logistics company
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Training provided for candidates with less than 1 year of experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients in China (language skill to support client interactions)
