About the role
We are seeking a skilled Shipping Coordinator to join our team at C P World Pte Ltd, a leading freight and cargo forwarding company located in the Bukit Merah Central Region. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the shipping process, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods to our clients.
What you'll be doing
- Liaising with clients to gather shipping requirements and arrange for the necessary transportation and logistics
- Coordinating with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to book shipments and track deliveries
- Preparing and processing shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and Tradenet (customs clearance)
- Monitoring shipments and providing regular updates to clients on the status of their orders
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise during the shipping process and implementing solutions to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintaining accurate records and databases of all shipping activities
- Collaborating with the wider team to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a shipping or logistics coordination role
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and logistics partners
- Proficient in using shipping and logistics software, as well as Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
- A keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset
