Shipping Cell Lead

Working location: 63 Alexandra Terrace #07-18 & #07-19, Singapore 119937

Job Summary:

The Shipping Cell Lead is responsible for all activities and output for shipping. He/she ensures compliance with quality standards and that all operations are maintained and performed safely and within a continuous improvement culture. The cell lead can understand, resolve and communicate shipping priorities to all individuals within shipping team and escalates any issues that may impact shipping to the area Supervisor or Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Coaching and mentoring of individuals within the shipping cell

• Communicating goals and targets and setting daily priorities/objectives for the cell

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Initiative to identify issues and escalate to supervisor properly

• Delegates assignments to team in a dynamic work environment

• Ensure that all appropriate training has been completed for everyone prior to assigning tasks

• Identify daily shipping requirements and prioritize work for the members within the cell accordingly

• Collaborate with Traffic and Compliance Team and Order Administration Team to resolve issues and set appropriate priorities to fulfill the delivery.

• Adhere to company standards and regulatory on Environmental, Health and Safety guidelines

• Provide detailed feedback on tester yields and product performance to AOC support staff

• Update pertinent charts and graphs and present metrics during the daily Gemba walks

• Provide performance feedback and assist with establishing personal development plans for the individuals within the group

• Lead Continuous Improvement events to help achieve department savings targets

• Lead a shipping team with 5-6 team members, to achieve daily packing & shipping KPI target

• Follow up the request from OA teams/Sales teams, to fulfill customer requirement on time

• Month End Closing Report

• Ad hoc tasks assigned by superior

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Being a fast learner and willing to share and train others on the team

• Able to work independently and provide guidance to the team

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (other language will be advantage)

• Ability to understand and follow complex instructions and escalate any deviations from the defined process to the area Supervisor or Manager

• Must be proactive, problem solving and decision maker person.

• Microsoft Office

• SAP system (will be an advantage)

• Power BI (will be an advantage)

• Leadership skills

• DG handling skills (will be an advantage, company will be sending candidates to take the DG course)

• Quick-Thinking

Education and Experience:

• 5+ years in a Distribution Center environment

• 1 years above in leadership in logistic/warehouse (will be an advantage)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking

• Packing and Palletized Shipment/Orders

• Must be able to lift 23kg (50 pounds) at times
