About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Assistant for import shipments to join our dynamic team at Sanden International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. Based at our Ang Mo Kio facility, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing incoming shipping operations, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation:
Prepare, process, and check import/export documents like Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transporters to arrange container shipment, collection, and delivery.
Customs Clearance:
Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, process customs permits (e.g., Tradeweb), and liaise with customs officials.
Tracking and Monitoring:
Track shipment status, update internal systems, and inform customers/stakeholders of arrivals or delays.
Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate physical and digital filing, prepare reports, and assist with inventory or warehouse coordination.
Requirements
Experience:
1 year of working experience entry-level candidates with the right aptitude are welcome to apply
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with logistics/ERP software.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with customs regulations, incoterms, and shipping documentation.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Diploma or higher qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Marketing, or Business is preferred.
