COENS Energy is supporting a reputable maritime organisation is expanding its commercial support function and is seeking a Shipping Accounts Executive to assist with vessel-related financial and operational accounting activities. The role works closely with internal stakeholders across commercial and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support billing and documentation for vessel hire and freight transactions
- Track receivables and coordinate with internal finance teams on collections
- Prepare and reconcile voyage and hire-related statements
- Review port cost submissions and support settlement processes
- Assist in demurrage and despatch calculations in accordance with agreed terms
- Maintain accurate records for vessel commercial accounts
- Provide support for periodic reporting and internal reviews
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Business, Maritime Studies, Shipping or related discipline
- Prior experience in shipping, vessel accounting or commercial operations preferred
- Basic understanding of shipping documentation and charter arrangements
- Comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel)
- Detail-oriented, organised and able to work with multiple stakeholders
