Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ship repair, construction, and conversion projects from planning to completion, ensuring schedules, costs, and quality standards are met.
- Chair daily VSCC meetings to coordinate hot-works and incompatible jobs onboard, safeguarding personnel and property.
- Monitor project critical paths, resolve on-site conflicts, and coordinate sequential activities to keep work on track.
- Liaise closely with classification societies, ship owners, engineers, vessel crew, and agents to achieve successful project delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering teamwork and trust.
- Identify and capture additional works, preparing detailed work lists and liaising with the Commercial Department for competitive pricing.
- Ensure compliance with contractual commitments and naval/marine quality standards.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 -7 years experience in project management for ship repairs within marine or heavy industries.
- Possess SRM Certificate
- Knowledge of project scope involving pipe and cable laying.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills able to manage projects independently.
