The Senior SHE Analyst / SHE Analyst is responsible for providing support and guidance to terminals to improve operational and SHE performance by helping out in the planning stage e.g. extraction of data for analysis and predicting trends for prioritization of actions and incorporating analysis into initiatives, development, execution & checking.
He/She will also be responsible for compiling data e.g. diesel usage/waste and other KPIs related to sustainability reporting to corporate office.
Other support such as incident investigation, legal compliance review and local mandatory/corporate audits will also be required.
Use, manipulate and extract data for reporting and analysis
Identify trend from data analysis to predict latest possible developments affecting safety performance
Develop, execute and conduct check on SHE initiatives based on predicted trend from data analysis
Support and guide terminal operations and departments on compliance to SHE management system elements, standards & continuous improvement initiatives
Build and maintain good working relationship with internal & external stakeholders in driving initiatives and sharing of information
Evaluate contractor safety performance with the aim to improve contractor safety standards by working closely with finance, procurement and terminal teams.
Sustainability reporting using corporate management software e.g. Tagetik
Organize/lead/participate in mandatory/corporate audits e.g. SS651, insurance audit, etc.
Lead/support investigations to identify root causes and contributing factors using methodologies like RCA (Root Cause Analysis), Fishbone, etc.
Assist SHE Manager to review quarterly legal updates, analyze applicability and ensure compliance
Other tasks related to the role of safety analyst assigned by the SHE Manager.
Provide support and guidance to terminals to improve operational and SHE performance
Assist terminals to conduct major hazard risk assessment
Assist terminal in safety case submission, ongoing verification relating to safety case and updates
Provide support in area of behaviour based safety
Conduct inter audits in terminals on safety process compliance e.g. ePTW, eMOC, etc.
. Assist terminals to track and ensure on time completion of action plans deriving from inspections/incidents, etc.
. Develop personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities, while also coaching others as required.
Job Qualification:
A Diploma or Degree is preferred. Undergraduate degree in engineering science, health and safety or related disciplines.
At least 3 years of experience in SHEQ program administration
Working experience in the oil, gas or petrochemical industry or familiarity with process safety management is a must. (5 - 7 years for senior).
Familiar with and have in-depth knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and procedures
Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of SHE & process safety management.
Experience in Safety, Health and Environment Processes
Strong knowledge in advance Excel knowledge and ability to leverage AI-driven tools to enhance data analysis and corrective and predictive analytics
