Set Designer

You design environments for productions. You create sets that support storytelling, camera framing, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

. Develop set concepts based on script, theme, and director's vision

. Translate ideas into sketches, mood boards, and 3D set designs

. Plan layouts considering camera angles, lighting, and movement

. Select materials, props, and finishes that support the narrative

. Work closely with directors, producers, and lighting teams

. Prepare technical drawings for construction and setup

. Oversee set build, dressing, and teardown

. Ensure safety, durability, and practical usability on set

Requirements

. 3 to 6 years experience in set design, production design, or related field

. Strong portfolio in film, TV, events, or stage productions

. Proficient in 3D and drafting tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, AutoCAD

. Understanding of lighting, staging, and camera considerations

. Ability to work under tight timelines and changing requirements

. Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
