Job Description
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer with a strong background in App Engine development to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist who also thrives in a leadership capacity-guiding junior developers, setting best practices, and delivering complex ServiceNow solutions with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom applications using ServiceNow App Engine.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
- Develop and optimize complex workflows, business rules, and custom applications.
- Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and maintain code quality across the team.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure all deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specs and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in architecture discussions and solution design sessions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of ServiceNow development and implementation experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow App Engine development.
Current ServiceNow certifications, such as:
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Experience in at least two large-scale ServiceNow implementations.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
- Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in ServiceNow App Engine Studio and App Engine Templates.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities and limitations.
Expertise in:
- Business Rules
- Project Scripts
- UI Policies & Actions
- Workflows & Flow Designer
- Integration Hub
- Service Portal Development
- Experience with source control and deployment tools.
- Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
Leadership Skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior developers.
- Experience in conducting technical training sessions.
- Strong code review, QA, and performance optimization capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders.
- Skilled in effort estimation, delivery planning, and managing technical deliverables.
