Job Description

SERVICE TECHNICIAN CUM SPARE PARTS INVENTORY

Job Responsibilities

Service Technician

  • Perform installation, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and repair of SMEG home appliances.
  • Attend to customer service calls and diagnose product faults accurately.
  • Conduct on-site repairs and replacement of spare parts where required.
  • Provide professional advice to customers on product operation and maintenance.
  • Prepare service reports and update job status accurately.
  • Liaise with the Service & Customer Service team on technical issues and follow-up cases.
  • Ensure all service work is carried out safely and according to company procedures.

Spare Parts Inventory

  • Manage and maintain spare parts inventory and stock records.
  • Receive, check and organize incoming spare parts.
  • Pick and issue spare parts for technicians and service jobs.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock against system records.
  • Ensure proper storage, identification and organization of spare parts.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete and damaged spare parts.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on spare parts orders and availability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in appliance servicing, electrical/electronic equipment or a related technical field will be an advantage.
  • Experience in spare parts or warehouse inventory management is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting and electrical knowledge.
  • Able to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams and service manuals.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and inventory/ERP systems.
  • Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence.
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Responsible, disciplined and willing to learn.
