Thermectech Pte Ltd is a specialized engineering service company supporting the commercial kitchen and food service industry in Singapore. We provide technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for a wide range of commercial food equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our engineering service operations and manage a team of technicians handling preventive maintenance and breakdown services across multiple sites.

The successful candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and operational management experience within the commercial kitchen equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead and supervise the daily operations of the service department, including manpower deployment, job scheduling, and technical oversight.

. Manage and coordinate preventive maintenance programs and emergency breakdown services across multiple commercial kitchen sites.

. Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting and guidance for complex equipment failures.

. Review and approve all service reports, ensuring compliance with company procedures and service documentation standards.

. Liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers regarding technical specifications, spare parts verification, and warranty support.

. Ensure all service operations comply with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and relevant Singapore safety requirements.

. Conduct periodic technical training and competency development for service technicians.

. Oversee spare parts management, service inventory planning, and procurement coordination.

. Monitor service response time, productivity, and service quality performance indicators.

. Attend critical technical cases and support technicians in resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Job Requirements

Experience

Applicants must have:

. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in servicing commercial kitchen equipment, industrial cooking appliances, or food service engineering systems.

. Minimum 6 years of experience managing technical service teams in the hospitality or food service equipment industry.

. Proven experience supervising multi-site service operations involving preventive maintenance contracts and emergency repair services.

Technical Knowledge

Applicants should demonstrate strong technical competency in the servicing and troubleshooting of the following equipment:

. Commercial combi ovens
. Blast chillers and blast freezers
. Walk-in refrigeration systems
. Commercial dishwashing systems
. Gas cooking appliances
. Electrical cooking equipment
. Steam cooking systems
. Food preparation and processing equipment

Technical Skills

Candidates should be able to:

. Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, refrigeration schematics, and mechanical drawings

. Diagnose complex electrical, refrigeration, gas, and mechanical faults

. Prepare detailed technical service reports and maintenance documentation

. Manage technical service scheduling and resource planning

Preferred Competencies

The following will be advantageous:

. Experience working with international commercial kitchen equipment manufacturers

. Knowledge of refrigeration systems and commercial cooking equipment servicing

. Experience managing preventive maintenance contracts in the hospitality or food service sector

. Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and technical compliance standards
