Service Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical)

The Service Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical support and engineering services to customers throughout Southeast Asia. This individual will act as the primary technical liaison between customers, local partners, and the Japan headquarters to ensure effective installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of semiconductor-related equipment and solutions.

The successful candidate will possess strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting capabilities, customer-facing communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced regional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for semiconductor-related equipment.
• Perform equipment installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Conduct customer training and technical presentations.
• Handle customer enquiries and technical escalations.
• Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and business partners across Southeast Asia.
• Liaise closely with Japan headquarters on technical matters and project updates.
• Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or related Engineering disciplines.
• Prior experience working within a Japanese corporation environment would be highly advantageous.
• 3+ years of experience in a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Equipment Engineer, or Technical Support Engineer role.
• Experience within the semiconductor equipment or semiconductor manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning experience.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Southeast Asia.
