Overall Job Responsibility
The Service Development (Employment) Division aims to enhance and increase employment and employability opportunities for persons with disabilities. The team works with private and public employers, industry partners, social service agencies, and stakeholders such as Special Education Schools, Institutes of Higher Learning and hospitals, to design and implement pilot initiatives to further this cause.
One of the pilot initiatives include the Enabling Business Hub (EBH) which is a regional hub that brings training and work opportunities closer to where persons with disabilities live, offering job training and job support around the region to all persons with disabilities, including those with higher work support needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain good oversight of EBHs operations and performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and effective collaboration with service provider, tenants, and stakeholders.
- Drive the development of strategic partnerships with industry leaders, employer networks, and professional associations to champion inclusive hiring.
- Lead the design, execution, evaluation, and documentation of high-impact initiatives that address and close systemic gaps, ensuring sustainable and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee the negotiation, governance, and performance monitoring of complex funding agreements, ensuring accountability, compliance, and strategic alignment with funding bodies.
- Lead the team in supporting corporate planning matters such as reports to Ministry, budgets, workplans and communications such as media engagements.
Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
- Minimum 8 years of working experience; including experience in public policy, business development, or operations management.
- Applicants who are familiar with the disability sector, and experience in partnerships and contract management would have an added advantage
- Meticulous and comfortable with data collection, preparation, analysis and visualization.
- Technologically proficient e.g using automation tools, collaborative tools, etc
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines, adaptable to changing circumstances and resourceful in problem solving
