Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Desk Consultant (Migration Specialist) with strong expertise in end-user support, secure file transfer technologies, and migration environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, networking fundamentals, security protocols, and application testing across multiple environments. A customer-centric mindset and strong problem-solving skills are essential for ensuring seamless IT support and secure system transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 / Level 2 support for end-user queries and technical issues.
  • Support and troubleshoot file transfer protocols including FTP, SFTP, and SSH.
  • Manage and configure secure communication technologies such as SSL certificates and SSH keys (public/private).
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, subnetting, and gateway configurations.
  • Assist in firewall configuration and security-related troubleshooting.
  • Support application testing across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production environments.
  • Participate in data center migration projects and understand different migration strategies.
  • Ensure system security through basic cryptography knowledge and secure configuration practices.
  • Maintain documentation and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service while meeting SLA requirements.

Technical Skills Required

  • Operating Systems (Windows environment preferred)
  • Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint
  • FTP, SFTP
  • SSH (Secure Shell), SSH keys configuration
  • SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) & certificate updates
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP Addressing)
  • Cryptography basics
  • Firewall concepts and types
  • Application testing types and environments
  • Data center types and migration approaches

Requirements

  • 2- 8 years of experience in Service Desk / IT Support / Migration Support roles
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Japanese language proficiency (Mandatory)
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
