You'll be taking care of network and security, communication networks, such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and intranets. You play a crucial role in creating, maintaining and modifying an IP network's hardware, software and virtualized components.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Leads the network design process
- Manage existing networks, monitor the traffic
- Manages the installation of routers, modems, and any other hardware and software upgrading
- Coordinates with the software and hardware teams to get the necessary network equipment in place
- Collaborate with the network engineers, network administrators and other professionals in network setup and configuration
- Assess the existing network technologies to increase performance, security & efficiency
- Leads the installation of routers, and any other hardware and software upgrading that are essential for the communication networks to function properly
- Provide technical guidance on networking solutions, product plans and road maps
- Develop and deliver the professional proposals and design documentation
- Manage the information security within the network structure through passwords or user permissions.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree with major in Telecommunications/Electronics/Computer Sciences, or equivalent
- Previous work experience as a Network Engineer or network architect (CCNA, CCIE)
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of problem-solving techniques
- Extensive knowledge of computer operations, security and wireless systems will be an add-on
- Knowledge networking components such as routers, modems, adapters, switches, and servers, firewall
- Understand all aspects of project management such as team building, staff training and scheduling
- Good technical troubleshooting knowledge of data network
Potential incumbent required to commence work within short notice and willing to commit till project completion, approximately 15 months.
