Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal reliability and availability.
- Manage network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.).
- Configure and maintain network security solutions (VPNs, firewalls, ACLs, IDS/IPS).
- Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning.
- Perform software and firmware upgrades on networking devices.
- Provide L2/L3 support for network-related incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and infrastructure teams to implement changes and projects.
- Maintain documentation for network architecture, procedures, and diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with network policies and security standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in a network engineering or administration role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other major network vendors.
- Familiarity with firewalls and network security practices.
- Proficient in network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios).
- Understanding of cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent preferred.
