Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking friendly, energetic, and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Service Crew at our Bakery at JEWEL. In this role, you will be the face of the bakery-welcoming guests and taking orders.

Ideal candidates are passionate about quality food, warm customer service, and working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service throughout their visit.
  • Take accurate food orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, counters, and restrooms.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and restocking.
  • Monitor stock levels of front-of-house supplies and notify the manager when replenishment is needed.
  • Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bakery staff to ensure smooth service and communication.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience in food service, customer service, or hospitality preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to a dynamic service environment.
  • Comfortable working weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and operating POS systems.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • On-the-job training provided for the right candidate.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Passion for artisanal food and specialty coffee or baked goods.
  • Keen attention to detail and a pride in delivering great customer experiences.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and multitask during peak hours.
  • Able to communicate in Mandarin is essential.
