Job Title: Server, Storage & Backup Engineer (On-Prem / SCCM / Hypervisor)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Server, Storage & Backup Engineer to manage and support critical on-premises infrastructure in a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows platforms, virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), SCCM, and backup technologies, ensuring high availability, performance, and data integrity across systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain server and storage infrastructure to meet business requirements
- Manage and optimize virtual environments (Hyper-V and VMware) ensuring high performance and availability
- Administer and support SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) for deployment, patching, and system management
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions using tools like Veritas and VEEAM
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
- Perform troubleshooting for server, storage, virtualization, and backup-related incidents
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and data integrity
- Collaborate with application, network, and security teams for seamless integration
- Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of overall experience in server, storage, and backup engineering
- Strong expertise in Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy)
- Hands-on experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware virtualization platforms
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in SCCM and Hypervisor technologies
- Strong experience in storage management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Proven experience with backup solutions (Veritas, VEEAM)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure) and hybrid environments
- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Experience in large enterprise or banking environments
Certifications
- Certifications are not mandatory, but relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Veritas) are a plus
