New Life Youth cater to people between 11 - 21 years of age. Our mission is to mentor youths by creating a positive impact on their lives, developing their resilience through nurturing mentorships and empowering them to initiate change within their communities.
We are looking for a passionate and committed Senior Youth Worker / Youth Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in engaging, supporting, and empowering youths to reach their full potential through meaningful programmes and positive relationships.
Job Responsibilities
. Plan, organise, and implement programmes and activities that promote the holistic development and well-being of youths.
. Provide supervision, guidance, and support to a team of youth workers (for Senior Youth Worker role).
. Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, serving as a mentor and positive role model.
. Provide individual support and guidance to youths, helping them overcome challenges and work towards their personal goals.
. Facilitate group discussions and workshops, and activities on topics such as, health, education, life skills, and social development.
. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including teachers, social workers, and community partners, to meet the needs of youths.
. Maintain accurate and confidential case records, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
. Engage with the community to understand and respond to the needs and interests of local youth.
. Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
. Stay updated on current issues, trends, and developments affecting young people.
Job Requirements
. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or Youth Work.
. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience working with youths (Senior role).
. Proficient in English and Mother Tongue
. Previous experience working with young people in a similar role.
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
. Ability to engage and motivate youths from diverse backgrounds.
. Good understanding of the issues and challenges faced by young people today.
. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
