SENIOR WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN

Duties & Responsibilities
. Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking batteries and changing the oil to ensure proper vehicle running
. Inspect various parts of trucks, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms to ensure they are in the proper operating condition
. Utilize different tools and equipment, such as pressure gauges, pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, screwdrivers, hoists, and jacks to repair trucks while constantly exercising safety precautions
. Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using devices such as motor analyzers, handheld computers, and chassis charts to determine how to address problems
. Test drive vehicles to ensure they are running properly, diagnose issues, and provide solutions
. Replace parts, valves, bearings, and gears as needed, and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems
. Measure vehicle emissions to ensure they are within the proper limits
. Ensure that parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions
Requirements
. High school diploma or equivalent
. At least two (2) years of work experience in this, as a diesel mechanic, or other related jobs
. Experience in working with diagnostic computers
. Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly
. Technical certification or degree
. Able to diagnose and repair heavy equipment, prime mover, lorry & van
. Able to commit to 5.5 days a week (Monday to Fridays from 8:15 am-5:15 pm, Saturdays from 8:15 am-12:30 pm) with a lunchbreak of one (1) hour
. Able to work overtime as needed
. with class 4 driving license for test drive vehicles
