Job Summary
The Senior VP, Head of Strategy and M&A, will play a pivotal role in shaping the long-term vision and growth trajectory of MIRXES. This role combines high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to drive innovation, expand market reach, and enhance shareholder value. The role will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team and board of directors to identify strategic opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and deliver transformative outcomes.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy aligned with MIRXES mission to advance RNA technology and expand its leadership in precision medicine.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends, market opportunities, and competitive threats in the biotech sectors
M&A Execution
- Spearhead end-to-end M&A processes, including target identification, due diligence, negotiation, and post-acquisition integration.
- Manage a pipeline of strategic acquisition targets and partnerships to accelerate product development and market entry
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure seamless transactions and value creation
Financial and Operational Oversight
- Advise on capital allocation, budgeting, and financial modeling to support strategic priorities.
- Oversee portfolio management, ensuring alignment with financial targets and operational efficiency
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and board, presenting insights and recommendations on high-impact decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors, industry partners, and regulatory bodies to secure support for strategic initiatives
Desired Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field (MBA, CFA, or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.)
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or private equity.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and high attention to detail.
- Corporate finance expertise, including IPOs, M&A, and capital market transactions.
