Title: Senior Vessel Manager (Commercial Operations of oil tankers)
Office: Singapore
Reports to: Head of Operations
Core main function: To oversee the commercial operations for our fleet of tankers, both across spot and time charter
Responsibilities:
- Coordination and control of all cargo/voyage information between brokers, masters, agents, and ship owners/managers.
- To devise and implement the most economical voyage plan consistent with customer, charter party, and regulatory requirements for each assigned ship.
- Provide other operational functions as required by team.
Duties:
- Respond to the chartering department providing input/data necessary for potential fixtures (i.e. prepare questionnaires; provide intakes and ETA's, etc.).
- Manage the ship's commercial trading through voyage planning consistent with port/terminal and regulatory restrictions.
- Review and provide Master with appropriate voyage orders, port information, and any applicable restrictions within the port.
- Ensure that the ship and voyage operations are in compliance with operational aspects of the voyage charter parties.
- Authorize ship's cargo capability and capacity
- Coordinate bunker planning in the most cost and time efficient manner
- Review stow-plans to ensure optimization of cargo intakes where applicable, whilst assisting the Chartering Department for time critical pre-fixture tasks
- Ensure invoices are generated accurately and timely as required.
- Ensure that ship owner and ship comply with operational aspects of time charter parties as appropriate.
- Develop and implement timely solutions to cargo and voyage-related trading issues.
Competencies:
- Minimum 3 years commercial experience of tankers pertaining to owners/operator's side of commercial operations.
- Seafaring background from deck side preferable but it is not a prerequisite for this position.
- Must have knowledge of day to day working of oil tankers and cargoes.
- Must be either a Singaporean citizen or under EP
