Cana Consulting is working exclusively with a well-established financial institution. We're seeking a Senior Treasury Officer to oversee and manage all aspects of the company's treasury function.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash and Liquidity Management: Develop and execute strategies to optimize the company's cash position. Manage daily cash flow, short-term investments, and funding to ensure adequate liquidity for all operational needs.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange (FX) risk, and commodity risk. Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate these exposures.
- Capital and Funding: Oversee the company's capital structure and funding strategy. Manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions to secure funding and credit facilities on favourable terms.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with internal finance teams to create financial forecasts, models, and budgets. Provide strategic insights and analysis to senior management on financial performance and opportunities.
- Treasury Operations and Controls: Maintain a strong internal control environment for all treasury activities. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the treasury team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in a treasury leadership role, demonstrating a track record of effective financial management and risk mitigation.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, banking products, and treasury management systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.
