We are seeking a senior
Test Automation Lead to define, build, and scale enterprise-level automation capabilities across digital platforms. This role owns the end-to-end automation strategy, frameworks, and delivery execution, ensuring high-quality releases through good integration with Agile and DevOps practices. You will lead automation engineers, partner closely with engineering and business stakeholders, and drive measurable improvements in quality, speed, and risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute a comprehensive test automation strategy aligned with delivery roadmaps and business outcomes.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across web, mobile, API, and system integration layers.
- Establish automation standards, best practices, coding guidelines, and governance for long-term reusability and maintainability.
- Ensure seamless alignment with Agile delivery models and CI/CD pipelines.
Automation Delivery & Execution
- Lead hands-on development, execution, and maintenance of automated test suites across digital platforms.
- Drive automation coverage across functional, regression, API, performance, and security testing.
- Integrate automation solutions into build, deployment, and release pipelines.
- Oversee test environments, test data strategies, and continuous validation processes.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and mentor automation engineers across distributed teams (onshore/offshore, internal/external).
- Work closely with QA leadership, developers, DevOps teams, and analysts to embed automation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Communicate automation progress, coverage, quality metrics, and value realization to senior stakeholders.
Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure automation solutions meet enterprise-grade security, compliance, and regulatory expectations.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort and accelerate release cycles through intelligent automation.
- Evaluate and introduce modern tools, frameworks, and approaches to continuously improve automation maturity.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including at least 3 years in a Test Automation Lead or similar role.
- Proven experience delivering automation in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
Technical Skills
- Solid expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Solid hands-on experience in API automation and validation (e.g., Postman, Karate).
- Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git-based platforms, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#).
- Exposure to cloud-based test execution platforms.
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
Domain & Certifications
- Experience working on regulated or high-availability digital platforms is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of enterprise or transactional platforms (e.g., payments, digital channels, or large-scale platforms).
- Test automation or SDET-related certification is required.
