Senior Technician (Machinist)

Purpose of the Job:

• Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to manufacture, modify, and repair engine components
• Inspect engine parts and components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment, and perform maintenance and repairs as necessary
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work performed and parts used
• Meet repair production schedule and delivery requirements
• Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and quality control measures
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with engine manuals, approved technical data and regulatory requirements
• Ensure strict compliance to all EHS regulations
• Ability to support shift duties and overtime production work on ad-hoc basis as and when necessary
  

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in aerospace engineering or maintenance
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Machinist or Fitter-Turner preferably in the aerospace industry
• Strong proficiency in operating a variety of machine tools, including lathers, milling machines, and grinders
• Familiar with CNC, CMM programming
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with tight tolerances
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
