We're looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our team! As an Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's automation equipment, including Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, and Automated Materials Handling Systems.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Troubleshoot, recovery and resolve equipment breakdown on plant automation equipment e.g. Autonomous Mobile Robot, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, Automated Materials Handling System, Automated Storage & Retrieval System, Automated Packing Equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic computer hardware and software issues independently / with IT engineer assistance
- Perform system & server recovery on automation / manufacturing systems e.g. storage system, transportation system, remote command center
- Assist engineer on software roll-out, and periodical system / server OS & AV patching and update
- Impart basic operation and troubleshooting skills to operators
- Perform automation equipment critical checks and restoration
- Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment
- Support engineers on equipment continuous improvement programs
- Assist engineers on spare part management
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience with automation equipment
- Team player with ability to work independently
- Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Willing to learn and able to pick up skills quickly
- Willing to work on 12-hour permanent day/night shift
- NITEC / Higher NITEC holder is also welcome if have min 5 years experience with automation equipment
