Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Technician / Foreman to support the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles and machinery. The ideal candidate will ensure all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles and machinery (e.g. inspections, oil changes, filter replacements).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems and other key components.
- Perform metal welding and fabrication works for repair and modification of parts.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Adhere strictly to workplace safety procedures and guidelines.
- Support workshop operations and perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in heavy vehicle and/or machinery repair.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in metal welding and fabrication techniques.
- Familiar with diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Responsible, hands-on and safety-conscious.
