Role Overview:

Senior Solution/Technical Architect to support a large-scale payment transformation initiative for a leading global financial institution. The architect will play a key role in designing, guiding, and validating the technical architecture underpinning the modernization of core payment systems, ensuring scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance.

We are looking for someone who is highly technical, hands-on, and able to leverage their experience to lead this integration initiative and demonstrate how it can be successfully implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Define solution architecture for payment platform orchestration services, including integration, data flows, and system interoperability.
• Define and support non-functional requirements, including high availability, throughput, security, and disaster recovery for payment systems.
• Design reusable integration patterns for core banking systems, SWIFT/ISO 20022 messaging, clearing and settlement systems, and third-party payment rails.
• Develop a working design model or prototype to validate the proposed solution and support the overall architectural approach.
• Produce architecture documentation and design artifacts, and present solutions to client governance forums.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience, with significant experience in architecture roles (Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Technical Architect).
• Proven experience architecting large-scale, mission-critical systems, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern core banking or payment platform ecosystems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to senior client leadership.

Additional Qualifications:

• Prior experience in payment transformation, modernization, or migration programs.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in payments (AML, sanctions screening, PSD2, etc.).
