- Oversee tax compliance onboarding, including 13O/U and other relevant tax registrations, address ad-hoc post-acquisition tax queries, and prepare the tax compliance onboarding checklist.
- Oversee timely filing and payment of direct and indirect taxes, including reviewing tax returns, WHT, GST/SOC, 13O/13U annual declarations, compliance trackers, and liquidation/strike-off requirements, while managing tax compliance matters, engagements, and ad-hoc queries.
- Manage Singapore 13O/13U and COR/LOR processes, including applications, annual declarations, terminations, and submissions, coordinate with tax agents and relevant stakeholders, review draft filings, monitor management fee allocations and cash repatriations from a tax perspective and liaison with tax authorities.
- Coordinate US tax reporting requirements by liaising with US tax agents, onshore/offshore service providers, and internal finance teams to ensure timely and accurate provision of financial information and effective administration of external tax engagements.
Role requirements
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within a Big 4 firm or in-house private equity/real estate environment, with expertise in M&A and tax compliance.
- CA/CPA/ACCA qualification shall be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of transfer pricing, GST and international tax, including complex real estate/ PE fund structures and cross-border transactions across key Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
- Proven ability to lead tax teams, coordinate complex deliverables across multiple jurisdictions, collaborate effectively with other business functions.
- Demonstrated experience in tax governance, risk management, transformation and process improvement, supported by strong problem-solving, critical-thinking and commercial skills
