We are looking for an experienced Assistant Principal Engineer to support and lead railway systems integration and interface management activities from project initiation through testing and commissioning. This role involves close coordination with customers, contractors, consultants, and internal engineering teams to ensure successful system delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Systems Interface Engineers in an active site environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all ISCS interface-related activities.
- Chair and facilitate technical interface sessions with Customers, External Consultants, and System Wide Contractors (SWCs) to resolve system integration issues.
- Plan, manage, and take full ownership of interface testing schedules involving major subsystem SWCs.
- Collaborate closely with software development teams to drive technical development and ensure successful delivery of ISCS software for Integrated Testing and Commissioning (ITC) activities.
- Manage, review, and follow up on interface-related documentation, including (but not limited to) ICDs, IDDs, OMPDs, and associated records.
- Track, coordinate, and resolve software interface issues in collaboration with internal software development teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in railway systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver project milestones within tight timelines.
- Demonstrated self-management, accountability, and ability to lead by example.
- Proven capability to function effectively as both a team leader and a collaborative team player.
