Job Description
PLC Programmer
Job Summary
You will design, program, test, and support PLC and IoT-based automation systems for industrial and mechanical applications, ensuring efficient and reliable operation while providing technical and after-sales support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program PLC control systems to meet client automation needs
- Develop, configure, and integrate IoT-based automation and monitoring solutions for industrial applications
- Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze mechanical, electrical, and automation requirements
- Travel to client sites to install, test, commission, and support automation systems
- Develop and install machine programs using automation software to optimize performance
- Establish test criteria and conduct system testing to validate functionality before installation
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLC, control systems, and IoT communication to maintain system reliability
- Ensure automated systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably in industrial environments
- Install, commission, and maintain PLC programs and related automation devices to support ongoing operations
- Monitor and improve system performance by analyzing data collected from IoT platforms and sensors
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for development, installation, and servicing activities
- Provide technical and after-sales support to clients to ensure customer satisfaction and system uptime
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation Control, or equivalent PLC technical certification
- 1 to 2 years of experience in PLC programming
- Proficiency in PLC automation software and programming languages
- Basic knowledge or experience with IoT systems, sensors, smart devices, and industrial communication protocols
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to automation systems
- Communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction
- Hands-on experience in machine automation, commissioning, and on-site support
