Senior System Engineer (Middleware)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement robust middleware architectures to support mission-critical applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex middleware-related issues, ensuring system availability and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system optimisation to enhance the efficiency of middleware platforms
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect middleware systems from cyber threats
• Document technical processes and procedures, and provide knowledge sharing to the wider team
• Stay up-to-date with the latest middleware technologies and industry trends, and recommend improvements to the existing infrastructure

Requirements:

1. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior System Engineer or equivalent, with a strong background in middleware technologies
2. Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex middleware solutions, such as application servers, message queues, and enterprise service buses
3. Proficient in programming languages and scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, PowerShell) for middleware automation and integration
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Experience in cloud-based middleware platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is highly desirable
6. Strong understanding of IT security best practices and the ability to implement secure middleware solutions
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
