Job Description

Role: System Analyst
Duration: 12 Months (extendable)
Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

Work as a System Analyst in the field of IT application development, maintenance, delivery, and IT infrastructure setup.
Apply both classic (Waterfall) and Agile (Scrum) methodologies in project execution.
Understand user and stakeholder requirements and formulate technical design documents.
Coordinate with vendors on specifications, delivery testing, and implementation.
Support the implementation of middle and back-office systems for Group Retail (PB).
Manage end-to-end testing between vendor systems and internal UOB systems.
Work with internal Change Control Management teams for deployment of system changes.
Collaborate with internal infrastructure and security teams on implementation activities.
Coordinate with Vendor and Infrastructure teams on infrastructure-related changes, upgrades, patches, and provide onsite support for Infrastructure Projects / Change Requests (CRs).
Work with the DevOps team to migrate applications into DevOps environments.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Around 12 years of working experience, with at least 10 years in software development, business analysis, system analysis, and project/change implementation within the financial services industry.
Direct exposure to Data Lake, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning projects.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Experience in analysing and implementing banking applications across entities.
Strong strategic and analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Experience in upgrading or migrating end-of-life platforms to modern technology platforms.
Experience working in data centres for infrastructure upgrades, patches, and infrastructure-related changes.
Strong technical background with experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and documentation.
Experience in end-to-end system implementation, from pre-project initiation to Go-Live.
Experience collaborating with security, network, infrastructure provisioning, and architecture teams.
Knowledge of cloud computing and SaaS implementations.
Experience setting up connections with interface systems, batch processing, and IBM MQ.
Experience setting up applications in newly provisioned infrastructure (e.g., OS, network, storage, agents, database, Aldon, Control-M, monitoring tools, etc.).
Experience in environment migration, including data restoration and masking.
Good knowledge of Data Lake platforms, Data Analytics platforms, model development lifecycle, and Generative AI (GenAI).
